Since the 1960-s,British pop music has been popular all over the world.Although most young people like pop music, there are also younger fans of classical music and every summer they go to the annual ''Proms'' or Promanade concerts organized by the BBC at the Albert Hall,in London. The concerts were started in 1895 by Sir Henry Wood in a building which was destroyed in 1941.They were called ''promenades''because the the audience ''promenaded''or walked about during the perfomance.Today, the younger music-lovers stand in front of the orchestra and fill the Albert Hall for the last Night of the Proms.
