Hobby is a special interest that people do in their free time. Everybody has his/her own hobby.
As for me I prefer reading poems and short stories. I believe that fiction literature is one of he best ways of expressing feelings and thoughts. They usually mean more if they are raised to the level of art.
I am fond of piano playing and guitar playing too. I finished musical school two years ago. I am extremely fond of all kinds of dancing: from hip-hop to classical ballet. That is why I often attend different theatres and rap-discos.
Sports play an important part in my life. I am an amateur roller-skater. Once a week I take aerobic classes just to keep fit. Diving is the kind of sports I like best.
I belong to such kind of people who always need changes and new impressions. From this fact it follows that the range of my hobbies is wide. In the nearest future I want to take up horse-riding, parachute-jumping, and mountain skiing.

My hobby is painting and drawing. I have finished art school and now I paint and draw in my free time. I depict things that have impressed me deeply: beautiful flowers, poetic landscapes, ancient ruins. I like to paint portraits as well. It is very important to catch a person in a moment of action, feeling, perception and record that moment with unerring strokes. Only geniuses are blessed with this gift. Sometimes I create decorative compositions, large in scale and bright in colour. I paint on canvas and draw on paper. I work in oil and watercolour, pencil and pastel. For me painting is a means to understand the beauty and harmony of the surrounding world, a way to express my own emotions, feelings and perception of life.
It is important for me to study the artistic heritage of great painters. That is why I like to visit museums and art galleries. My favourite painters are Vincent Van Gogh and Victor Borisov - Musatov.
Painting is not the only hobby of mine. I read a lot of books. One of my favourite writers is R.R. Tolkien. In my free time I like to listen to music. Classical music is my favourite one.
Hello. My name is Karina. I’m 13 years old. Every morning I go to school and when I return around 2 pm I do my homework for tomorrow and then I’m free to do what I like. I’m very enthusiastic by nature and I like doing different activities. For example, I like playing chess, I enjoy attending the swimming-pool, I always participate in local volleyball games, I like experimenting with cooking, I like knitting and reading magazines, etc. However, I should say, I have three serious hobbies. First is the ping-pong. I’ m a very good player of table tennis and I have already won several prizes for this game in the region. I have been attending our local club of ping-pong for children for quite a while and the trainer said that I have a talent at it. My parents are very proud of me and my progress. My second hobby is drawing. I have always liked drawing things, painting and colouring. When my mum noticed my interest she took me to the city Art School which I then started attending. It’s been six years already since I first went there, and now I’m really good at picturing objects. I especially like drawing nature and still life. I have once tried to draw my friend’s portrait and it didn’t come out well. And my third hobby is collecting bright and interesting magazines for girls. My parents always buy them for me or order by mail, and my friends who know about my passion to magazines, also bring me some editions. I have already 75 (seventy-five) samples of these magazines and when I have some free time I gladly skim them.

My Hobby.
There are many differnt kinds of hobbies. Every person has their ones. Some people draw and dance, others play volleyball, football, chess, some people do crafts.
All these occupations are for our enjoyment.
As for me, I like to listen to music, to play computer games and to play chess. Chess is a very interesting game. It makes you think and train your brains. Music allows to have a rest and to relax.
Besides, I like some dynamic games. I like to play football most of all. But I enjoy not only playing football, but watching it as well.
In general, I like to mix with interesting people and it's my hobby too. There are such old words of wisdom: "You should mix with people who are more than 70 and less than 6 years old." I agree to it and I try to do it, but still I know few persons of such an age.
Our hobbies are not constant, they are changing during lifetime. But still there are some permanent hobbies. I hope that some of my hobbies will last all my life.

My name is Sergey. I’m thirteen years old. Everybody must have an ardour for something or an activity he likes to do in a free time. My hobby is collecting stamps. In the childhood my father collected stamps too. I liked his collection very much and I decided to carry on the tradition. My father helped me to begin collecting stamps. He had several repeated stamps and he gave me them. Also my grandmother found several old envelopes and gave me the stamps. I joined a club of stamp collectors and made new friends who have the same hobby. Now I can exchange stamps and discuss our collections. All my stamps are kept in the special albums. They are divided into different themes. I have a lot of stamps with images of flowers, plants and famous people. I like my hobby.
